Stay:

The Lodge on Lake Lure, Tryon Resort’s intimate oasis situated 25 minutes from TIEC in the stunning mountain lake setting of Lake Lure, is the perfect place to stay when summer comes to Western North Carolina. From water sports to gorgeous views at every turn and fine, lakeside dining, the Lodge has 17 unique, well-appointed rooms to enjoy, each equipped with a scenic patio. Or, stay close to the horse show action in a one, three or five-bedroom cabin onsite at TIEC.

Play:

Don’t miss out on all the fun to be found in Lake Lure while staying at the Lodge. Rent a pontoon boat, kayaks, or take a scenic boat tour from one of several local businesses, and enjoy the sunshine in and around the water. If you prefer to explore the region by land, hike to a 75-mile panoramic view at Chimney Rock State Park or drive to the summit for a relaxing top-of-the-world experience. Meander the famed Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, too, and enjoy 155 feet of carefully-curated gardens featuring more than 1,000 native flowers and plants to delight the senses.

“Saturday Night Lights,” (SNL) a signature Tryon Resort experience, can be enjoyed every Saturday evening May through October at TIEC. Featuring free admission, live music, face painting, carousel and pony rides all leading up to thrilling equestrian competition under the lights in Tryon Stadium, this tradition is a can’t-miss. With fair-style concessions stands, shopping, bars and restaurants available every Saturday, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss the karaoke after-party hosted at the Silo Bar when competition concludes!

To test your shot with clay pigeon shooting, we recommend a trip to Cleghorn Gun Club, just minutes from TIEC and an iconic Tryon Resort experience. From gun and ammo rentals to lessons with experienced instructors, our 15-station course and five stand will challenge any shooter from novice to expert. Call 828-863-1435 or visit www.CleghornGunClub.com to learn more!

If you’d rather swing than shoot, we’ve got you covered – any day of the week! Tryon Resort’s Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club is just minutes from TIEC, and boasts an 18-hole George Cobb design that will both challenge and satisfy any golfer. Just give them a ring at 828-286-9117 to book your tee time. While you’re there, enjoy post-round drinks or wings at Mulligans in the pro shop, or enjoy the Olympic-sized pool and athletic courts.
