Mill Spring, NC – May 18, 2021 – Offering 12 USEF Hunter rated show weeks including two Regional/B, one National/A, and nine Premier/AA rated competition weeks in the Tryon Spring Series and the Tryon Summer Series. Hunter competitors will be vying for more than $600,000 in prize money at Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (TIEC) during the 2021 Spring and Summer Series. The two series include two $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby competitions and Equus Events/Tryon Spring 3/World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) week at the venue launches the first of numerous hunter highlights throughout the 2021 competition calendar.

TIEC Hunter Highlights:

Equus Events/Tryon Spring 3, hosted at the venue May 19-23, features the country’s top hunter horses and riders for WCHR week and will showcase both a $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby and a $10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby on Friday, May 21. Both classes will be live streamed for free at www.Tryon.com/streaming.

Tryon Spring 6/Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Charity Horse Show, (June 8-13) a USEF Heritage Horse Show, will feature the first of two $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby events in 2021 at TIEC as well as a USHJA National Hunter Derby. Tryon Summer 4, hosted July 6-11 will be the second $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby in 2021. Both derbies will be live streamed for free at www.Tryon.com/streaming alongside other highlight classes, and Hunter competitors across all divisions will be eligible to receive a daily “Trip of the Day” award bestowed on the combination with the highest score of the day.

Tryon Summer 4 will be hosted July 6-11 at TIEC, featuring the fifth annual Pony Spectacular and welcoming the pony hunters to Tryon Stadium ahead of USEF Pony Finals competition. The $10,000 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby, a newly-added $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, USHJA National Hunter Derby, and other highlight classes will be live streamed for free at www.Tryon.com/streaming.

Hunters will not want to miss the Tryon Fall Series at TIEC. Starting with Tryon Fall 1 on September 24-26 and continuing five consecutive weeks, TIEC will host a weekly USHJA National or International Hunter Derby, totaling $75,000 in Hunter Derby prize money. The Tryon Fall Derby Days will conclude on October 19-24 with a $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby during Tryon Fall 5 just in time for the 2021 Washington International Horse Show hosted at TIEC.
