PBR Tryon Returns to Tryon International This Month
Two Nights of “Original Extreme Sport” Return to the Carolina Foothills August 28-29
MILL SPRING, N.C. (Aug. 3, 2026) - In less than a month, the electrifying action of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) returns to Tryon International as PBR Tryon takes over the venue on Friday, Aug. 28, and Saturday, Aug. 29, bringing world-class bull riding and edge-of-your-seat competition.
For two nights at the premier multi-sport and entertainment destination in the Blue Ridge foothills some of the top bull riders in the world will face some of the sport’s most powerful bovine athletes in the ultimate eight-second challenge of man vs. beast – all part of the 2026 PBR Ram Challenger Series.
Friday night’s competition begins at 8 p.m., with the action continuing Saturday at 7 p.m. Guests can choose a single-night ticket for Friday or Saturday, or experience both nights with a two-day ticket or enjoy premium viewing through available The Ridge VIP options.
Family Fun Before PBR Tryon
Before the action begins, guests can enjoy family-friendly entertainment and activities throughout the front of the venue from 5–7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
Planned activities include live music, bounce houses, carousel rides, photo opportunities, hobby horse fun, a mechanical bull and additional western-themed experiences. Some activities may require an additional fee, and all offerings are subject to change.
New for 2026: Live Music After PBR Tryon
The experience will continue after the final ride each night with live music at the Silver Spoon Saloon, included with that evening’s PBR Tryon ticket.
Dirty Grass Soul will perform following Friday night’s competition, while Madderdont will take the stage after PBR Tryon on Saturday.
Guests can head directly from the arena to the Silver Spoon Saloon to continue the evening with live music, food, drinks and games.
Make a Weekend of It
PBR Tryon also offers an opportunity to experience more of Tryon International throughout the weekend.
Guests can stay steps from the action with on-site hotel rooms, cabins, vacation rentals and RV accommodations. Dining options across the property range from quick and casual meals to full-service restaurants, making it easy to enjoy the venue before and after each night’s competition. Guided trail rides through Tryon Western Adventures provide another way to explore the property and experience the natural setting of the Carolina Foothills.

PBR Ram Challenger Series, a competition series that launched in May 2022, consists of more than 50 events across the United States, in conjunction with the PBR Teams league – a 10-team league competing in five-on-five bull riding games. The PBR Ram Challenger Series, the sport’s only standalone series from May to November, provides additional competitive opportunities to bull riders who are both affiliated and unaffiliated with a PBR Teams league team. Select Challenger Series events will be carried on PBR RidePass, PBR’s flagship digital network. At the conclusion of the PBR Ram Challenger Series regular season, the Top 40 riders in the Series standings will qualify for the Challenger Championship in conjunction with the PBR Teams Championship. A select number of top-finishing riders in the final Challenger Series standings will earn automatic positions in 2027 Unleash The Beast season events.
