Martin Claims CCI4*-S Victory at The Fork International Three-Day Event presented by Yanmar America
Mastervich, Cooke and Lambert Also Earn FEI Wins

MILL SPRING, N.C. – September 13, 2026 – The Fork International Three-Day Event presented by Yanmar America brought four days of Eventing competition to Tryon International from September 10-13, welcoming horse and rider combinations across international and national divisions.
International competitors took on Tryon International’s cross-country tracks designed by Clayton Fredericks (AUS) for the CCI4*-S, CCI3*-L/S, Advanced and Intermediate divisions, while Beth Perkins (SC) designed the CCI2*-L/S, CCI1*, Preliminary and Training tracks. Brody Robertson served as the show jumping course designer for the weekend.
At the top of the weekend’s competition, Boyd Martin (USA) and Luke 140 claimed the KASK CCI4*-S, qualifier for the US Equestrian Open, while Emily Mastervich (USA) and Posh Quality topped the LeMieux CCI3*-S. Long-format victories went to Dana Cooke (CAN) and FE Quattro in the Core Specialty Equine CCI3*-L and Lauren Lambert (USA) and FE Alfonso Z in the CCI2*-L.

Boyd Martin (USA) and Luke 140 emerged victorious in the weekend’s headline CCI4*-S presented by KASK, a US Equestrian Open qualifier, finishing the competition on a score of 40.3.
Martin and Luke 140 established themselves as the combination to beat with a 26.7 dressage score, taking the early lead. They maintained that position through show jumping before heading out onto Fredericks’ CCI4*-S cross-country track, where they added 13.6 time penalties to finish on 40.3 and secure the win.

Reflecting on the cross country phase, Boyd noted, “it’s a big trip for our horses to come to Tryon, but it’s well worth the effort. It’s phenomenal footing, being a former golf course with an irrigation system. I love bringing my top horses here, because the footing is so good. On top of that, Clayton Fredericks is turning into one of my favorite Cross-Country course designers. [His courses are] very horse-friendly. Obviously it was a very challenging track, but he builds it in a way where the horses really enjoy the challenge. I feel like this was the perfect event to build them up for the future."

The battle for the top of the leaderboard came down to the narrowest of margins. Caroline Pamukcu (USA) and HSH Double Sixteen finished just one-tenth of a point behind Martin on 40.4. The pair began the weekend on 35.2 and jumped clear before adding 5.2 time penalties across the country. Waylon Roberts (CAN) and Chevalier completed the podium on 44.2.

Mastervich and Posh Quality Rise to the Top of LeMieux CCI3*-S
Less than a single point separated the top three combinations in the LeMieux CCI3-S*, setting up one of the weekend’s tightest finishes. Emily Mastervich (USA) and Posh Quality ultimately claimed the division on 35.0. The pair entered the jumping phases on a dressage score of 27.0 and jumped clear in show jumping before adding 8.0 time penalties across Fredericks’ cross-country track.

Just two-tenths of a point separated the winners from Karl Slezak (CAN) and HSH Marshall, who finished second on 35.2. Morgan Booth (USA) and Cold Red Rum were only six-tenths farther back, completing the podium on 35.8. With all three combinations finishing within eight-tenths of a penalty, there was little room for error at the top of the CCI3*-S leaderboard.
When asked about keeping Posh Quality consistent during the weekend, Emily said, “my main goal for the weekend was to make sure that she was happily working with me in each phase. I had to find ways to allow her space to do her own thing with a pre-ride each day where I wasn’t asking much of her, and then she seemed to stay happy and focused when it mattered.”
Cooke and FE Quattro Finish on Dressage Score to Win Core Specialty Equine CCI3*-L

Consistency across all three phases propelled Dana Cooke (CAN) and FE Quattro to victory in the Core Specialty Equine CCI3*-L, finishing the weekend on their dressage score of 28.0. Cooke and FE Quattro sat second following dressage before producing a penalty-free trip around Fredericks’ CCI3*-L cross-country course to move into the lead. A fault-free performance over Robertson’s show jumping track kept their score untouched and secured the win.
Cooke, on her experience at Tryon International, said, "it feels so good to be back at Tryon competing, and this win was a really big deal for me. Six months ago, I had a severely broken ankle, and I only just started competing again last month, so to come back and have a win like this means a lot.
The courses were beautiful, the footing was absolutely perfect, and Tryon continues to make improvements to an already incredible facility. They always put on such a great event, and I’m just really happy to be back out there doing what I love."

Tim Bourke (IRL) and DHI Kevin G finished second on 37.2, while Alexa Thompson (USA) and Api du Libaire completed the top three on 38.8. Cooke’s ability to finish on her dressage score ultimately gave her a nine-point advantage at the conclusion of the three phases.
Lambert and FE Alfonso Z Take CCI2*-L Victory

Lauren Lambert (USA) and FE Alfonso Z topped the CCI2*-L after three phases of competition, finishing on 34.0. Lambert and FE Alfonso Z opened the weekend at the top of the standings with a dressage score of 30.0. They maintained that position with a penalty-free trip around Perkins’ CCI2*-L cross-country course before adding four penalties over the show jumping track to conclude their weekend on 34.0.
Lambert commented that "this competition has been the main goal for FE Alfonso Z over the summer, as we migrated from Dallas and prepared in my native land of Louisville, Kentucky. He came into the competition in good form, with a reserve champion finish at the AEC end of August. Alfonso and made easy work of the challenges presented, and the course gave us a lot of confidence for a move up later this year."
Sara Kozumplik (USA) finished second on 37.5, while Kerra Johnson (USA) and Fly High Quality rounded out the top three on 41.0.

In the CCI2-S presented by Tredstep, Sharon White (USA) and Arden Janeway took the win on 27.8, narrowly edging Emeline Gilbert (USA) and EWSZ Mozart, who finished second on 28.0. Booli Selmayr (USA) and Uptown Girl completed the top three on 31.1.
